Spreehalle Ateliers, Berlin-Oberschöneweide
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios
Hoidn Wang Partner
Twelve atelier units have been formed out of the former Spreehalle, a factory building that once was part of the extensive series of buildings of the AEG company (General Electric Company) originating from the beginning of the 20th century. Eight of these ateliers are part of the three storey wing on the west, and four ateliers are part of the former double bay factory hall proper. Two of these ateliers can be connected with the double storey eastern wing. At the ground floor of this east wing there could be a shop and a café. On the west side, the existing two storey addition was raised by a generous, 5 meter tall atelier space.
